The importance of a correct and adequate handling of waste products from industrial activity is becoming increasingly important in every day life.

The distinction between urban waste and special waste effects:

The distinction between harmful and non harmful waste effects:

• sanctioning system

The various categories of waste are coded according to the European list of waste known as CER, attached to Decision 2000/532/CE and subsequent modifications and additions reproduced in the annex D, the 4th part of Legislative Decree 152/2006.

Urban waste: (Article 184, subsection 2, Legislative Decree 152/2006)

• domestic waste, including oversize originating from premises and spaces of different use from that of the letter a), assimilated as urban waste for quantity and quality. The assimilation is ordered by the council according to a fixed standards in state headquarters
• waste from road sweeping
• waste of any kind or origin, lying on roads and public areas however susceptible to public use or on beaches and lake and on the banks of waterways.
